26th Lithuanian women championship is held in 3 stages. 8 teams took part in the 1st one and top 5 qualified for the 2nd stage division A. Other 3 teams together with young teams "Minija" Kaunas, "Atzala" Joniskis and Lithuanian U-16 national team in spring will compete in division B. 3rd stage will be - the play-offs.
One round of the division A was held last weekend and the other two will be played in spring. As always the main fight is between two Lithuanian top teams: "Gintra-Universitetas" Siauliai and HFTC Vilnius. Their game in the 1st stage suprisingly was won by Siauliai team 3:0, but everything was quite in oposite last weekend. HFTC controled the game ant on teh 55th minute after a goal from Aurelija Griskute took the lead. Everything was going to the sweet revenge, but on the last minute Aurelija Kubilinskiene from "Gintra-Universitetas" after a mistake of HFTC defenders managed to resque Siauliai team a draw.
