On the 23rd of May in Siauliai city municipality passed the meeting concerning the Euro Hockey women Trophy championship who will take place on the 2nd- 9th of September in Siauliai city. In the meeting participated the mayor of Siauliai city Mr. Genadijus Miksys, LHF president of honor and the city council member Mr. Vytautas Juskus, Siauliai city sport departments manager Mr. Kestutis Petraitis and LHF president, EHF EB member Mr. Leonardas Caikauskas.
The European Hockey Federation under the Presidency of Leandro Negre will host its 19th General Assembly in Vilnius, Lithuania on Saturday 15th October 2005.
LHF is carrying on the FIH Development Programs summer tournaments. According to the confirmed schedule U13 boys were the ones who started to compete. The most important thing was that 2 strongest teams were detached to the first international FIH DP U-13 cup organized by the Polish Hockey Association (PHA) in Chomiaza Slacka by the resources of PHA, FIH and LHF.
The president of LHF Leonardas Caikauskas together with hon. general secretary of EHF Mr. David Balbirnie and administration officer of EHF Mrs. Siobhan Madeley discussed business connected with EHF GA which will take place in Vilnius the 15th of October. It will be the first such kind of big event in Lithuanian sport federations history. EHF Executive Board meeting which was planning to run in Amsterdam in September will be relegated into Vilnius and it will take place on the 15th of October.
Hockey players started indoor season very early. In Sirvintai started FIH DP childrens tournament. There took part teams from Kelme, Joniskis, Sirvintai, Vilnius cities and Vilnius district.
