The 19th Lithuanian men championship finished as espected - "Panevezys" players succesfully defended their title.

The 3rd (last) round of the championship was held in Kedainiai and the biggest surprise of it was "Rudamina-Ardas" team from Vilnius. Vilnius players beat "Zuvedra-Tauras" Vilnius 8:0, won a tough game against their main contenders for the 2nd place "Nevezis" Kedainiai 1:0 and unexpectedly overcame "Panevezys" 3:2. This victory was worth silver medals to "Rudamina-Ardas".

Secure of their 1st place "Panevezys" in the other games beat "Nevezis" 4:0 and "Zuvedra-Tauras" 12:2. "Nevezis" won against "Zuvedra-Tauras" 6:0.

Best players: Jonas Kavaliauskas ("Panevezys"), Arturas Zaleskis ("Rudamina-Ardas") and Arvydas Ciukas ("Nevezis").

Top scorer: E.Liukimas ("Panevezys") - 14 goals.
